This week I wanted to discuss the ready made logo “Green Leaf” available for sale at 99designs.
This logo is a great choice for any type of landscaping, eco friendly, environmental, spa, gardening business out there. It’s clean, easily identifiable and versatile. This logo is a great example of a spot logo which mean the logo design can be placed independently from the business name.
Many large corporations use spot logos because of their ability to stand-alone, but only after a very long and expense branding campaign. Some examples of well branded spot logos are Adidas, McDonalds, and Pepsi. These companies have spent millions of dollars over a long period of time and can now simply show the icon and almost everyone knows which company they represent.
Odds are your business won’t get quite as large as a fortune 500 company, but there are still some fun ways to use a spot logo.
Leaf Logo Design Featuring a Spot Logo
With a spot logo the emblem can be placed beside the company name and tagline or on top of it like this example.
This gives you flexibility when laying out your business stationery design. When creating your letter head you can easily place the logo in the center or to one side, and business cards can be designed vertically or horizontal. If you stay with the provided colors, a white or light cream stationery stock will complement the logo and keep the light crisp design.
Another use of a spot logo is to take just the emblem and turn it into an icon for your website. This can be used in the top web browser tab which is called a favicon when you convert it to an ico format. I have instructions on my local business marketing blog if you would like instructions on how to do this yourself or you can ask your webmaster to do it for you.
This logo can also be used to symbolize the ending of your blog posts and articles.
If you would like to purchase this logo you can buy it from our partners at 99designs.
